Stage 01 / 06 · CBSE Curriculum

Overview

Ganga Happy Secondary School, E-301, Jagjeet Nagar, Delhi, is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi (Affiliation No. UCU0280). We offer classes from Nursery to Class X and follow the CBSE curriculum at every stage.

Our aim is simple – to help every child learn with understanding, not just memorise. Experienced teachers use smart classrooms, a computer lab, a science lab and our school library to make lessons clear, practical and interesting. Regular class work, tests and term examinations help us track each child’s progress and give extra support where it is needed.

Learning goes beyond textbooks. Sports, meditation, art, celebrations and competitions build confidence, discipline and teamwork, while our core values – gratitude, respect, integrity and collaborative responsibility – shape good character. With CCTV cameras in every classroom, children learn in a safe and caring environment.

The results speak for themselves: in the CBSE Class X Board Examinations 2025-26, our toppers scored 90%, 87% and 86%.

Stage 02 / 06 · How we teach

Teaching Methodology

At Ganga Happy Secondary School, we follow a child-centred teaching approach based on the CBSE curriculum and the textbooks prescribed by the Board. Our goal is to help children understand concepts, apply them and ask questions – so that they become active participants in learning, not just passive listeners.

Lessons combine clear explanations with activities, projects, experiments and discussions. Smart classrooms bring topics to life with visuals and videos, the computer lab builds digital skills, the science lab lets students learn by doing, and the library encourages a love of reading. Students work individually, in pairs and in groups, which builds communication and teamwork.

We track progress through regular class work, worksheets, tests and term examinations, and give extra academic support to students who need it. Values education and meditation are part of daily school life, helping children stay focused, confident and kind.

Stage 03 / 06 · Nursery – UKG

Pre-Primary Stage

The Pre-Primary stage covers Nursery, LKG and UKG – your child’s very first steps into school. The minimum age is 3+ for Nursery, 4+ for LKG and 5+ for UKG, and our aim is to make these early years warm, safe and joyful.

Children learn through play, stories, rhymes, songs, puzzles, and art and craft. These activities build early language in English and Hindi, number sense, shapes and colours, and the fine and gross motor skills children need before formal schooling.

We also help children develop good habits – sharing, taking turns, cleanliness and good manners. Caring teachers, CCTV cameras in every classroom and fun celebrations such as festivals and Earth Day help our little ones feel secure, confident and happy at school.

Stage 04 / 06 · Class I – V

Primary Stage

The Primary stage covers Class I to Class V (minimum age 6+ for Class I). These are the foundation years, when children build strong basics in reading, writing and numbers that support all their future learning.

Students study English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS) and Computer, along with Art and Physical Education. Lessons are activity-based, using smart classrooms, worksheets, projects and group work to keep children curious and engaged.

Teachers track progress through regular class work, tests and feedback, and give extra help when a child needs it. Sports, meditation, celebrations and competitions help children grow in confidence, discipline and teamwork.

Stage 05 / 06 · Class VI – VIII

Middle Stage

The Middle stage covers Class VI to Class VIII – the bridge between primary and secondary school. Students go deeper into each subject and begin to learn more independently.

The main subjects are English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Computer. Experiments in the science lab, practical work in the computer lab, projects and library reading help students understand concepts and apply them.

We encourage students to ask questions, research, present their ideas and work in teams. Regular assessments show where each student needs support, while sports, values and activities help them grow into responsible young people.

Stage 06 / 06 · Class IX – X

Secondary Stage

The Secondary stage covers Class IX and Class X, preparing students for the CBSE Class X Board Examinations – an important milestone in their school journey.

Students study English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science in depth. Regular tests, structured revision, practice with sample papers and doubt-clearing help them prepare with confidence.

Teachers guide students on study habits, time management and exam preparation, and support each student’s individual needs. The results show the effort: in 2025-26 our Class X toppers scored 90%, 87% and 86%.
